Annual events sponsored by Firelands Regional Medical Center help raise funds for and awareness of the many services and programs Firelands Regional Medical Center provides to enhance the health and wellness of the communities we serve.
When philanthropic funds are needed for special projects at Firelands Regional Medical Center, The Foundation for Firelands plans and implements targeted fund development campaigns. These time-limited campaigns raise funds necessary for new buildings and equipment, as well as provide resources for the renovations of our existing facilities.

The “Caddyshack” Open Party and Golf Tournament will be held on June 28 - 29, 2015 by The Foundation for Firelands to raise funds for The Foundation’s Cancer Program Fund. The fund provides uninsured and underinsured cancer patients with medications, transportation, nutrition assistance, physician-prescribed stress-relieving therapies and much more before, during and after receiving treatment at University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center at Firelands Regional Medical Center. Fashion Week, Sandusky Style, will be held on September 24. This highly anticipated event, held at Plum Brook Country Club, will be back for the seventh year. Proceeds from Fashion Week, Sandusky Style will benefit The Foundation for Firelands Mammogram and Breast Cancer Fund.
On March 30, 2015, medical centers and patients nationwide showed appreciation to physicians by celebrating National Doctors' Day. This day of honoring physicians has become a tradition throughout the United States as a means to say "thank you" for the kind, compassionate expertise provided by these men and women.
Salute! was held on April 26 at Sortino's Little Italy Ristorante to support Firelands Regional Medical Center's Heart Center. This community favorite event sure had guests sipping the vino and sampling the region's finest Italian food in style.
