Plus One Fellowship
Plus One ResidencyThe osteopathic plus one residency training at Firelands is designed to accommodate the individual learning needs of osteopathic physicians who have completed an American Osteopathic Association (AOA) approved residency. The program offers advanced and concentrated training in neuromusculoskeletal medicine and osteopathic manipulative medicine and prepares the resident for certification in this specific discipline.

The program ensures that residents learn the philosophy, principles and practices of osteopathic manipulative medicine, including osteopathic manipulative treatment. Residents are exposed to varying models of osteopathic manipulative medicine and multiple modalities of osteopathic manipulative treatments. After completing this residency-training program, the graduate is prepared to undertake the distinctive practice of neuromusculoskeletal medicine and osteopathic manipulative medicine.

The Director of Medical Education and the Plus One Program Director guide the residents through the educational process with the goal of producing highly skilled and qualified osteopathic physicians. At Firelands Regional Medical Center we are dedicated to the teaching staff's emphasis of medical education over the resident's service to the institution.

The AOA has approved three slots for Firelands Regional Medical Center's plus one residency program.

NOTE: We are actively recruiting a new Program Director. At this time, we are not accepting applications for this program.
