Licensure Requirements

All courses must be successfully completed prior to graduation. All students who successfully complete the nursing program and graduate must pass the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) before the graduate can practice as a registered nurse in the United States.

Licensure applications must be completed at least 6 weeks before the completion date, including:

  • Completion of Ohio Board of Nursing application for Licensure - notarized
  • Completion of the NCLEX registration form
  • Full-face headshot professional photograph
  • Fees for the testing service and Ohio Board of Nursing

Students are required to submit fingerprints to the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation for a criminal record check to be eligible to take the NCLEX-RN licensure examination.
