For optimal communications with patients, and in compliance with state law, Firelands Regional Medical Center is providing this list of our charges for room and board, emergency department, operating room, physical therapy and other procedures. The hospital's charges are the same for all patients, but a patient's responsibility may vary, depending on payment plans negotiated with individual health insurers. Uninsured or underinsured patients should consult with our Financial Counseling staff at 419-557-7879 to determine whether they qualify for discounts. These prices are correct as of January 2010.

Our goal is to provide high quality and efficient pulmonary diagnostic and respiratory therapeutic care for all patients requiring pulmonary services. Under the direction of a Pulminologist, respiratory services are administered on both an outpatient and inpatient basis.
One in three people are affected by a sleep disorder at some point in life. Too often sleep problems are ignored or assumed to be psychological in origin. Better testing procedures have revealed new information on sleep-wake disturbances resulting in greater understanding and more successful treatment. Firelands Center for Sleep Disorders provides help for those suffering from sleep problems.
Firelands Regional Medical Center provides the area's most advanced neuroscience services. The program provides integrated care in the treatment of all neurological and musculoskeletal systems. Utilizing a team approach, the program offers inpatient and outpatient physical medicine and rehabilitation services to children and adults.
There are four different types of surgery available at Firelands Regional Medical Center: outpatient, ambulatory, same day and inpatient. Your physician will decide which surgery is appropriate for you.

A Hospitalist is a physician who specializes in caring for patients in the hospital and who does not have an outpatient medical practice.
University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital pediatric hospitalists provide care for hospitalized children up to age 18 and are available for area pediatricians and family physicians to use when pediatric patients are admitted into Firelands.
Social Work and Care Management services are available to the patients and residents of Firelands Regional Medical Center Acute Care, Skilled Nursing, Physical Rehabilitation, Home Health and outpatient. Services are provided by licensed social workers, RN Care Managers and Utilization Review Staff who have undertaken extensive training.

This course is ideal for anyone who needs to know the basics of first aid and be certified to perform CPR and AED. The course also addresses health and safety issues and bloodborne disease protection. Cost: $90 per person Payment is due one week prior to the date of the class.
