Anne McGookey Earns Recertification in Volunteer Services

March 24, 2017 – Sandusky, Ohio -- Firelands Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce that Anne McGookey, director of Volunteer Services, has received her recertification as a Certified Director of Volunteer Services (CDVS) by the Ohio Healthcare Volunteer Management Association (OHVMA).

McGookey earned the recertification after having exemplified an approved standard of educational and managerial achievement over a prescribed period of time, and having evidenced the professional development and growth in volunteer administration management.

As Director of Volunteer Services, McGookey oversees a staff of more than 180 volunteers who serve in approximately 35 hospital departments. McGookey joined Firelands Regional Medical Center in 1996 and has over 30 years’ experience in volunteer management. She resides in Sandusky with her husband, Jim, and has three children.
