Danielle Buathier, of Huron, Recognized as March Beacon of Light

March 10, 2017 – Sandusky, Ohio -- Firelands Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce that Danielle Buathier, RN, OCN, has been selected as the March Beacon of Light Award winner.

The Firelands Beacon of Light is a monthly award given to team members who exemplify and exhibit the values of Firelands Regional Medical Center in the areas of service, integrity, respect, unity and stewardship along with their commitment as a member of our community.

Danielle’s nomination spoke of these values. “Danielle makes the most of every minute she spends with her patients,” it read. “When she is not teaching them about their illness and treatments, she is listening quietly and comforting them when they need it the most. She is always kind, considerate and helpful with her coworkers as well. You can see they all work together in harmony for the common cause to promote healing.”

“Danielle has this keen ability to put your fears at ease and reassure you with her calm and capable skill as an oncology nurse. She is extremely spiritual and exemplifies this quality by selflessly praying both with and for all the cancer patients she cares for.”

“Danielle is an all-around great example of what it means to be a Beacon of Light here at Firelands Regional Medical Center. We are fortunate to have her as a coworker.”

In addition to this, Danielle is a devoted mother who works full time while also volunteering at her church, teaching Sunday school, and helping with the youth group at The Church of the Nazarene. She is an avid supporter and fundraiser for the Myasthenia Gravis Research Foundation. She recently took a team of walkers to a MG Walk For a World Without Myasthenia Gravis event.

Outside of work, Danielle enjoys planning vacations, spending time at the beach and ocean, making memories, spending time at Huron City School events, and watching her children and their friends enjoy their youth. She resides in Huron with her husband, Richard, and two children, Gabrielle and Benjamin.
