Firelands School of Nursing Faculty Member Published in Nurse Educator Journal

(October 6, 2017 – Sandusky, OH) Firelands Regional Medical Center would like to congratulate Michelle Bussard, PhD, RN, ACNS-BC, CNE, faculty and simulation laboratory coordinator at the School of Nursing, on the publication of her research article entitled “Evaluation of Clinical Judgment in Prelicensure Nursing Students.” The article was published in the Nurse Educator Journal.

The research examined whether progression in clinical judgment is evident after students participate in four simulated patient experiences as measured by the Lasater Clinical Judment Rubric.

Bussard teaches various nursing courses for the junior class at Firelands Regional Medical Center School of Nursing, including Nursing Foundations, Medical/Surgical Nursing, Skills Laboratory and Simulation Laboratory, as well as Clinical.

Bussard brings 13 years of experience, having joined Firelands Regional Medical Center School of Nursing in 2004.
