Firelands Regional Medical Center Earns 2016 Pharmacy Revenue Value Cycle Excellence Award
January 19, 2017 – Sandusky, Ohio -- The pharmacy and revenue cycle teams at Firelands Regional Medical Center are the recipients of the 2016 Pharmacy Revenue Value Cycle Excellence Award from Craneware. The award was announced at Craneware’s annual Financial Performance Summit.
Vice President of Revenue Cycle, Jane Arnold and Assistant Vice President of Operations, Jim Spicer, commend the pharmacy and revenue cycle teams for their collaborative efforts in achieving the Craneware 2016 Pharmacy Revenue Value Cycle Excellence Award. With cost and efficiencies at the strategic forefront of healthcare, Firelands Regional Medical Center, with over 3,200 active drugs in the formulary, has the ability with Pharmacy Chargelink and a significant team effort to automate and update rapidly changing pharmacy data and processes across the organization. The Pharmacy Revenue Champion was chosen based on the following criteria:
Craneware evaluated internal customer statistics that show system usage. Algorithms were applied to equally weigh customer size to ensure that facility size did not skew the metrics and system utilization could be accurately evaluated. Craneware then examined top utilization scores for each of the eight categories, Pharmacy Revenue being one category.
A monthly snapshot of customer performance was compared to Craneware benchmarks. This evaluation viewed sustained performance and quality utilization throughout the year.
Craneware also evaluated clients who share their success stories through participation in conferences, webinars, case studies, testimonials, Advisory Councils, etc. Craneware strongly encourages customers to share their experiences and learn from each other.
“When reviewing all of this criteria, Firelands rose to the top of the list,” said Brian Thompson, senior territory sales manager for Craneware. “This is a significant accomplishment.”
