Ralph Mominee Jr. Recognized as January Beacon of Light
January 16, 2017 – Sandusky, Ohio -- Firelands Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce that Captain of Safety and Security, Ralph Mominee Jr., CHSS, has been selected as the Beacon of Light Award winner for January.
The Firelands Beacon of Light is a monthly award given to team members who exemplify and exhibit the values of Firelands Regional Medical Center in the areas of service, integrity, respect, unity and stewardship along with their commitment as a member of our community.
Ralph exemplifies all these values. “Ralph Mominee has been with Firelands Regional Medical Center for nearly ten years,” his nomination read. “Being a former Perkins and Cedar Point police officer, Ralph has an overflowing heart for continuing education to effectively operate as the Security Captain for the last three years.”
“Ralph proactively searches for ways he can use his knowledge to make improvements to benefit the organization in any way possible.”
“Since his promotion to Captain, the Security Department has undergone a dramatic improvement in customer service, and to say he is an excellent example of leadership is an understatement! His courteous professionalism and drive for improvement has truly fortified the organization. On top of all this, Ralph is a great example to maintain that [ACE] attitude even after a “rough / intense” day. He is an excellent example and face for Firelands.”
Outside of work, Ralph enjoys riding his motorcycle and spending time with his children. He resides in Sandusky with his wife and two children.
