Susan Coe Recognized as October Beacon of Light

(October 27, 2017 – Sandusky, Ohio) Firelands Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce that Susan (Sue) Coe, environmental services supervisor, has been selected as the October Beacon of Light Award winner. Sue has been employed with Firelands for 23 years.

The Firelands Beacon of Light is a program developed to recognize team members who exemplify and exhibit the values of Firelands Regional Medical Center in the form of exceptional Attitude, Commitment and Enthusiasm (ACE). The award goes to individuals who ACE it every day for patients and coworkers.

Sue’s nomination confirmed this commitment. “Sue demonstrates her ACE attitude by the way she interacts with the staff in the departments we serve. She has a personal disposition that represents service with a smile. Sue often receives multiple requests for floor care and special cleaning; no matter how busy she is she finds the time and a way to get the job done with a smile.”

“Sue demonstrates her commitment by doing whatever it takes to get the job done. She will routinely supervise the first and third shift floor care teams and the projects they are working on. At times, when the need arises, she will adjust her schedule and work third shift hours to do whatever it takes to complete the job.”

“Sue is the lead organizer for the annual Housekeeping Week luncheon. She goes above and beyond to organize something special for the staff. She’s always looking out for the needs of the staff and will do whatever it takes to support them.”

In addition to this, Sue is actively involved in the annual March of Dimes campaign by arranging bake sales and other fundraisers, as well as organizing a team of walkers, for the event.

Sue resides in Sandusky.
