Christine Henderly is the June Beacon of Light at Firelands

(June 21, 2018 – Sandusky, Ohio) Firelands Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce that Christine Henderly, patient accounts MH collector, has been selected as the June Beacon of Light Award winner. Christine has been employed at Firelands for nearly seven years.

The Firelands Beacon of Light is a program developed to recognize team members who exemplify and exhibit the values of Firelands Regional Medical Center in the form of exceptional Attitude, Commitment and Enthusiasm (ACE). The award goes to individuals who ACE it every day for patients and coworkers.

Christine’s nomination echoed this dedication. “Christine is a great co-worker; she works hard every day and is always willing to help out in a difficult situation. Her job to follow up on Behavioral Health claims can be very challenging, yet she does this with a smile every day.”

“Christine is very committed to get claims paid by insurance. She works hard to get us every dollar we are entitled to. She handles these challenging claims extremely well.”

“Christine is a leading force in the appropriate processing of Behavioral Health claims. She is always willing to share what can be done to make a better process. She has a positive approach to handling her workload.”

Outside of work, Christine loves spending time with her family, as well as beekeeping, gardening, and helping out where there is a need at her church. She resides in Sandusky with her husband Bill, daughter Alyssa, and son Jarrod. Christine also has six step children and three grandchildren.
