Firelands Marketing Among Top 5% in Nation

(May 8, 2018 – Sandusky, OH) The Firelands Regional Medical Center Marketing Department won three gold awards in the Aster Awards, one of the largest, most respected national competitions of its kind, hosted by Marketing Healthcare Today Magazine and Creative Images, Inc.

  • Urgent Care Billboard, Fisherman Accident: Gold Winner for Billboard Design-Single with Christina Riddle of Edgewater Graphics, ranking Firelands in the top 5% in the nation.
  • Physician’s Recruitment Package: Gold Winner for Professional Recruitment-Single with Christina Riddle of Edgewater Graphics, ranking Firelands in the top 5% in the nation.
  • Empower Blog: Gold Winner for Blogs category with Geonetric, Inc., ranking Firelands in the top 5% in the nation.

The 2018 Aster Awards received thousands of entries from across the United States as well as several foreign countries. All entries are reviewed by a panel of industry experts and are scored on multiple criteria with a possibility of 100 percent. Participant’s entries compete against similar-sized organizations in their specific groups and categories. aster awards

“We are thrilled to be honored for our marketing efforts,” said Alexandria Cruey, director of marketing and communications at Firelands. “Over the years, we’ve worked to continuously raise the bar with out-of-the-box ideas and new channels to reach and resonate with our audience. We’re willing to take risks and try creative ideas, and winning three gold awards shows us the impact of that bravery.”

Awards were issued for entries that received top marks from judges placing them in the top 16% of the nation for advertising excellence. Judging criteria included creativity, layout and design, functionality, message effectiveness, production quality and overall appeal. 

“The quality and creativity of the entries submitted seems to increase each year,” said Melinda Lucas, Aster Awards Program Coordinator. “The 2018 Aster Awards program brought together some of the best and most creative advertising in the world.”

All winners are currently posted on the Aster Awards website (www.AsterAwards.com), as well as published in Marketing Healthcare Today, a national healthcare marketing magazine.
