Firelands Regional Medical Center to Begin Limiting Visitors

Visitor Limitations to Prevent Spread of Seasonal Influenza Take Effect Immediately

(January 11, 2018 – Sandusky, Ohio) In an effort to protect patients, their families and our staff this flu season, Firelands Regional Medical Center will begin limiting visitors to healthy members of the patient’s immediate family or immediate support person who are 18 years and older. The visitor limitations will go into effect immediately.

Please DO NOT visit any patient if you do not feel well or if you show symptoms of:

  • Chills
  • Cough
  • Fever
  • Headache
  • Muscle aches
  • Sore throat

Please note that special needs may be accommodated.

As seasonal influenza continues to unfold in the community, it is possible limitations at Firelands Regional Medical Center will change.
