The Foundation for Firelands Launches New Guardian Angel Program
(May 25, 2018 – Sandusky, OH) – Did you know that during the average four-day inpatient stay at Firelands Regional Medical Center, a patient interacts with more than 100 people from more than 30 different disciplines? That means on hundreds of occasions, someone at Firelands is working to make your patient experience extraordinary.
Are you grateful for one of those people in particular? Did you know that expressing gratitude helps patients heal? If you are grateful for someone who impacted your stay at Firelands, now here’s a way for you to recognize the physician, nurse, housekeeper, or other Firelands team member who made a difference in your life.
The new Guardian Angel Program gives patients the opportunity to write a note and/or make a tax deductible gift to the Foundation for Firelands on behalf of any team member who made their visit or stay at Firelands extraordinary. When a grateful patient recognizes their physician, nurse, or Firelands team member, their “Guardian Angel” will receive a card informing him/her of the patient’s appreciation. The Guardian Angel will also receive a lapel pin to wear proudly.
Patients can choose to remain anonymous when recognizing their Guardian Angel, and a donation is not required for the Guardian Angel to be recognized with a lapel pin.
All donations made through the Guardian Angel Program will stay at Firelands to support patient services and programs. To make a secure online gift, please visit foundationforfirelands.com, or make a donation from your mobile device by texting myangel to 41-444.
