Ruttino Promoted to Vice President of Operations and Chief Information Officer

(January 17, 2018 – Sandusky, Ohio) Firelands Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce the promotion of Denao Ruttino to Vice President, Operations, and Chief Information Officer (CIO). In his new position, Ruttino has overall responsibility and accountability for the direction and operation of imaging services, the Center for Breast Care, telecommunications, plant operations, clinical engineering and information services.

Ruttino received his Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology/Security from Western Governors University, a Master of Health Administration from Ohio University and holds Certified Professional in Healthcare Information Management (CPHIMS) and Certified Healthcare Chief Information Officer (CHCIO) certifications. He is a member of the EHOVE Curriculum Advisory Board, Norwalk Public Library Board, CHIME, HIMSS, and ACHE.

Ruttino was instrumental in the successful implementation of the electronic health record system and its accompanying patient portal, which were implemented across Firelands Regional Medical Center in the fall of 2017.

Ruttino has been an employee at Firelands Regional Medical Center for over four years and has served as the Assistant Vice President of Operations and Director of Information Services and Telecommunications. He resides in Bellevue with his wife and two daughters.
