Luvada Wilson and Lee Alexakos Appointed to Firelands Board Leadership

(June 25, 2020 – Sandusky, Ohio) Firelands Regional Health System is pleased to announce the election of Luvada Wilson and Lee Alexakos to Firelands Regional Medical Center’s executive committee as well as to the board of the health system. Luvada has served on the Firelands Regional Medical Center board for six years, and Lee has served on the Firelands Regional Medical Center board for five years. The new board terms will begin in July, 2020.

James O. Miller was elected as chairman of the board of directors for Firelands. James has served on the Firelands board for eight years. In addition, Roger Gundlach was elected as vice chairman. Roger has served on Firelands board for eight years.

John Bacon, who has provided 36 years of dedicated service in various board leadership capacities, will now assume the title of chairman emeritus, and will continue to serve on Firelands Regional Medical Center’s executive committee as well as the board of the health system.

Carol Wolfe will transition to emeritus status. Carol will remain active in her role on the facilities committee, developing design and workflow strategies for the new Firelands Sandusky Healthcare Center. The Firelands board would like to thank Carol for her 43 years of service as an active board member of Firelands.
