Beverly King Selected as the November Beacon of Light at Firelands

(Sandusky, Ohio) Firelands Health is pleased to announce that Beverly King, RN, Center for Women & Newborns, was selected as the November Beacon of Light Award winner.

The Firelands Beacon of Light is a program developed to recognize team members who exemplify and exhibit the values of Firelands Health in the form of exceptional attitude, commitment and enthusiasm (ACE). The award goes to individuals who ACE it every day for patients and co-workers.

Beverly’s nomination exemplifies this dedication. “Bev comes into work with her patients’ comfort and care at the top of her agenda. Bev has a positive attitude and is a hard worker, which makes it enjoyable to work with her. Bev is never a slacker, she is a true co-worker and friend. Bev takes her nursing profession very seriously. She gives 110% every single day,” the nomination read. “Bev is often seen smiling and laughing with patients. She treats them as if they were a family member. She totally enjoys being a nurse.”

Outside of work, Beverly enjoys scrapbooking, quilting, vacationing, helping on the family farm, spending time with family, and taking care of her granddaughter. She resides in Fremont with her husband, Keith. After 45 years of employment at Firelands, Beverly retired on November 15.
