Age eligibility for vaccination will be expanded upon completion of the 80+ population. As there continues to be a limited number of vaccines available, the timeframe for expanding age eligibility is dependent on how many doses are allocated to our county. As supply increases, COVID-19 vaccines will be made available to all Erie County residents who choose to be vaccinated. We will continue to administer the vaccines as quickly as they are provided to us.

Using all the tools available to help prevent the spread of the virus continues to be critical until a substantial number of Erie County residents can be vaccinated. Continuing to wear masks and practice social distancing will reduce your chance of being exposed to or spreading the virus. Those who are vaccinated are required to follow all quarantine protocols following an exposure to COVID-19, regardless of vaccination status. Proper prevention measures coupled with the vaccine will provide the best protection from COVID-19.

Senior citizens with questions on the vaccination process are urged to contact the Area Agencies on Aging at or by calling 1-866-243-5678.
