Firelands named new pharmacy director
(Sandusky, Ohio) Joseph “JT” Horsfall was named the director of pharmacy at Firelands Regional Medical Center. “We are excited to welcome JT, especially because he has a rich background in pharmacy services and healthcare leadership,” said Firelands Health Vice President of Operations Jim Spicer. JT will oversee inpatient and outpatient pharmacy operations, as well as the pharmacy residency program at Firelands. He joins the medical center with a doctorate of pharmacy from Ohio Northern, and a masters in business administration with a focus in healthcare administration from Indiana Wesleyan University.
JT has worked over 10 years in healthcare both as a director of pharmacy and a director of clinical operations. He has experience managing a laboratory, respiratory, dietary and pharmacy services. “I have found the most success by enabling my team to be the best that they can be,” JT said. “I am inspired by seeing my team succeed, promoting their ideas for the greater success of the entire department. That is what makes me enthusiastic about coming to work every day.” JT is excited by the opportunities of Firelands’ 340B program, as well as maintaining the pharmacy residency program.
In his spare time, JT said his primary focus is his family. He likes spending time with his wife and four daughters, playing board games and being on the water.
