Firelands Welcomes Three New Board Members, One Emeritus

(Sandusky, Ohio) Firelands Health recently welcomed Greg Graves, Justin Harris, and Naomi Twine to Firelands Regional Medical Center’s board of directors. “We are pleased to welcome three new members to the board of directors,” said Chairman of the Board Roger Gundlach. Gundlach went on to say, “Firelands Health has a long history of partnering with like-minded community members, and the experience these three individuals bring to the table, as well as their dedication to the communities we serve, will allow the health system to continue that tradition.”

Greg Graves is the President of Norweco, Inc. in Norwalk and has worked at this family-owned business since 1996. His background is in finance, corporate accounting and operations management. Graves is an elder at First Presbyterian Norwalk, a former treasurer for the American Decentralized Wastewater Association (ADWA), a former president of the National Onsite Wastewater Recycling Association (NOWRA), and is a volunteer for the Salvation Army. Graves expressed, “I am honored to join the board of directors at Firelands and am looking forward to helping.”

Justin Harris is an attorney with Reminger Co. LPA. He serves as National Coordinating Counsel for Cedar Fair, L.P., is a board member of the Erie County Public Defender Board and the Wightman-Wieber Foundation, and also serves as an adjunct professor for Bowling Green State University in the legal studies department. Harris was recognized as a Rising Star by Ohio Super Lawyers Magazine. Harris expressed, “I am looking forward to continue supporting such a great organization, and am especially excited to participate in the Foundation for Firelands’ ‘Caddyshack’ Open once again this summer.”

Naomi Twine is a retiree from the Ohio Department of Veterans Services, having worked at the Ohio Veterans home for almost 32 years. Twine serves on the Second Harvest Food Bank, the Erie County Cancer Center Board of Directors, the City of Sandusky Audit and Finance Committee, and is a Board member of the Greater Sandusky Partnership. Twine stated, “I was born and raised in Sandusky, and have seen the changes with the health system throughout the years. I’ve witnessed the health system’s growth while I was on the City of Sandusky commission, I am excited to participate in the good things Firelands Health is doing for our community.”

Thomas Forster, a long-standing board member at Firelands, has transitioned to emeritus status. Tom joined the Good Samaritan Hospital board of directors in 1976 and has served on a variety of committees and initiatives. From 2012 to 2017, he served as Firelands’ representative on The Bellevue Hospital’s Board of Directors.
