Melanie Ray Selected as the May Beacon of Light at Firelands

(Sandusky, Ohio) Firelands Health is pleased to announce that Melanie Ray, project manager at Firelands, was selected as the May Beacon of Light Award winner.

The Firelands Beacon of Light is a program developed to recognize team members who exemplify and exhibit the values of Firelands Health in the form of exceptional attitude, commitment and enthusiasm (ACE). The award goes to individuals who ACE it every day for patients and co-workers.

Melanie’s nomination exemplifies this dedication. “Melanie demonstrates her ACE attitude on a daily basis. Her leadership and positive attitude are what make her an effective project manager. She sets a great example for her co-workers by remaining calm under stress and consistently works to build team morale,” the nomination read. “Melanie’s commitment to doing a great job for Firelands is truly a gift to the organization. Melanie takes great pride in representing Firelands and her commitment to excellence in all aspects of her work is one of the many factors that have contributed to her continued success.”

Outside of work, you can find Melanie in a gym or at a field watching her children’s ball games. Melanie also enjoys working out, baking pies, reading, and traveling with her family. She resides in Bellevue with her husband, Jeremiah, and their three children. Melanie has been an employee at Firelands since 2011.
