Zach Wise Selected as the January Beacon of Light at Firelands

(Sandusky, Ohio) Firelands Health is pleased to announce that Zach Wise, senior director of finance at Firelands, was selected as the January Beacon of Light Award winner.

The Firelands Beacon of Light is a program developed to recognize team members who exemplify and exhibit the values of Firelands Health in the form of exceptional attitude, commitment and enthusiasm (ACE). The award goes to individuals who ACE it every day for patients and co-workers.

Zach’s nomination exemplifies this dedication. “Zach is a great leader who is honest, compassionate, and has a willingness to help others. If a member of Zach’s team is not familiar with a certain topic, he will walk them through and explain things from a viewpoint that is easy to relate to and understand. Zach will take the time to listen to how your day was and never makes others feel like he is too busy,” the nomination read. “Zach has a very steady and strategic approach to his responsibilities. Even in difficult and stressful times he keeps a "can do" attitude. Zach is extremely knowledgeable. He loves a good challenge and if you give him a problem to solve he will get the job done. He has an ability to see the whole picture and is great at seeing both sides of things.”

Outside of work, Zach is actively involved in his church and youth group, and spends his time enjoying life with his wife and children. He resides in Huron with his wife, Danielle, and their two sons. Zach has been an employee at Firelands for over six years.
