Firelands Health celebrates National Volunteer Week

(Sandusky, Ohio) Firelands Health will spotlight those who donate their time and are dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to our patients and the community during National Volunteer Week, April 16-22.

Volunteers are an integral part of the day-to-day operations at Firelands. Throughout 2022, Firelands Health volunteers donated over 13,000 hours assisting with patient and guest relations, special projects, pet therapy, and supporting areas such as the dialysis center, information desks and gift shops.

“Firelands Health would like to thank the 107 men, women, teens, and furry friends who served and supported our patients, visitors and staff,” said Lori Brown, volunteer services manager at Firelands. “Our appreciation for all they do has no limits.”

Volunteers will be honored throughout National Volunteer Week, which will culminate in an appreciation dinner at the Sandusky Yacht Club.
