Firelands names new laboratory director

Christopher Gase

(Sandusky, Ohio) Christopher Gase was named laboratory director at Firelands Health. Chris oversees Firelands Health in- and outpatient laboratory operations for six locations. Chris has served in laboratory leadership for over 20 years. He also taught at Marion Technical College in Marion, Ohio, for seven years, focusing on laboratory science. Chris holds a master’s of business administration from Tiffin University in Tiffin, Ohio; a bachelor’s in business and allied health from Heidelberg in Tiffin, Ohio; and an associate degree in medical laboratory science from Marion Technical College in Marion, Ohio. He holds a certification with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. His first lab training was with the U.S. Army.

"I have experience in very large and small institutions. Firelands Health is a great fit for me, and I am excited to lead here," Chris said. "I am also glad to return to the area and to be closer to family." Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and dog and he volunteers with the Knights of Columbus in Galion, Ohio.
