Firelands’ physician earns certification
(Sandusky, Ohio) Christian Siebenaler, M.D., a physiatrist with Firelands Physician Group Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, has earned his board certification from the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
His medical interests include sports-related injuries, joint pain, stroke recovery, spasticity management, neuropathy and management of chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. While board certification is not required to practice medicine, it’s an extra step a physician can take to assure patients of their training and expertise.
“I love the opportunities I have in my specialty to help people from all walks of life,” said Dr. Siebenaler. “As a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician, I help people recover from major medical conditions, focusing on improving quality of life. I also enjoy seeing patients who sometimes feel that the medical field has left them behind and helping them live their lives to the fullest.”
Dr. Siebenaler earned his doctorate of medicine at the University of Toledo College of Medicine and completed his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at the University of Toledo Medical Center. He is a member of the Association of Academic Physiatrists and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPMR).
