Counseling partnership supports cancer patients
Firelands Counseling & Recovery Services is partnering with University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center at Firelands Regional Medical Center to provide easier access to counseling for cancer patients.
Having access to counseling can empower patients and their families to cope with a cancer diagnosis, address future uncertainty, navigate relationship changes and develop effective coping strategies. This partnership offers a streamlined referral process and pools available financial support options.
“I am excited to offer emotional support to patients and their families and make it easier for them to access these much-needed services,” said Tracy.
Patients can schedule appointments with Tracy Byington, LISW-S, directly at the UH Seidman Cancer Center or at Firelands Counseling & Recovery Services of Erie County.
Tracy brings extensive experience in supporting individuals navigating chronic illnesses and their caregivers. She is dedicated to providing compassionate care to cancer patients at every stage of their journey, from the initial diagnosis and active treatment to the transition into life after treatment.
Cancer patients and their families are encouraged to learn more about the available support by speaking with their care team at the UH Seidman Cancer Center or by contacting Firelands Counseling & Recovery Services directly at 419-557-5177.
