Firelands Health leadership development retreat

leadership retreat

Leaders from Firelands Health gathered at The Chapel Sandusky campus Thursday for a leadership development retreat. The key note speaker, Sara Brokaw, RN, MSN, President & CEO from the Bellevue Hospital, conducted a workshop titled “crucial conversations.”

"Sara provided an outstanding leadership exercise for the team," said Firelands Health CEO Jeremy Normington-Slay. "She shared through her workshop about engaging in difficult conversations effectively to find common ground and improvement."

Another teaching point from the workshop is to have conversations quickly while discussing individual or isolated situations before unwanted actions become patterns, that ultimately affect relationships in the workplace. “The leaders at Firelands are truly invested in growing and better serving the workforce entrusted to them,” said Normington-Slay.

The group also toured the NASA Glenn Research Center, Neil A. Armstrong test facility.
