Firelands names Beacon of Light
Deb Artino was selected as the Firelands Health Beacon of Light for the second quarter 2025. She is a medical assistant at Firelands Center for Coordinated Care who has worked at Firelands since 2008.
The Firelands Beacon of Light is a program developed to recognize team members who exemplify and exhibit Firelands Health’s values through exceptional attitude, commitment and enthusiasm (ACE). The award goes to individuals who ACE it every day for patients and co-workers.
Deb’s nomination exemplifies this dedication. “Deb starts every day on a positive note. Her ‘good morning greeting’ to every staff member reminds us of our own needed gratitude, and starts our day on that same positive note. She cares for all of her patients with that same enthusiasm,” the nomination read. “Every patient that comes through our clinic is greeted with a warm smile and genuine concern. Deb never dwells on her personal challenges, but instead is a real example of patient compassion and dedication. Her smile is truly contagious.”
Outside of work, Deb enjoys spending time with her family, tending to her flower garden and traveling.
