Firelands Regional Medical Center and United Healthcare Insurance Reach Agreement

Firelands Regional Medical Center has reached an agreement with United Healthcare (UHC) to stay in network for all UHC health insurance products (commercial, Medicare and Medicaid.)

“This is a significant development for Firelands Health, and we are happy we were able to avoid potential disruptions in care for any of our patients with UHC insurance,” said Firelands Health Chief Financial Officer, Kevin Riley. “We were able to align on equitable payment terms in support of our care teams, as well as secure UHC commitments to partner in reducing administrative actions that can present challenges to care access, denials of coverage and denials in payment.”
