Hospital Collaboration Awarded

Firelands Health and Firelands Health The Bellevue Hospital (TBH) received the Regional Collaboration Award Thursday at the 2025 Greater Sandusky Partnership (GSP) annual meeting. The GSP Regional Collaboration Award recognizes individuals, organizations, or businesses that strategically value the Greater Sandusky Bay region and collaborate across jurisdictions to foster regional success. In May, Firelands Health became the sole owner of TBH.

“Collaboration is really key for healthcare in our area,” said Jeremy Normington-Slay, DPT, MBA, FACHE, President & CEO of Firelands Health. “The Bellevue Hospital joining Firelands Health is just the next step in our already rich history in bringing healthcare together.”

“The collaboration presents an opportunity for growth in ways that a smaller hospital may not always be able to offer,” said Sara Brokaw, RN, MSN, President & CNO of TBH. “Patients can now stay in the community, or at least connect with someone within our Firelands Regional Medical Center system, while still being a part of the services that The Bellevue Hospital provides.”
