Two generations born at Firelands

Landyn Harper

Landyn Harper entered the world Thursday, March 13, at 6:42 p.m., weighing 7 pounds, 3 ounces and measuring 21 inches. Born at Firelands Center for Women & Newborns in Sandusky, Ohio, Landyn's arrival marked the culmination of a unique and heartwarming journey.

Landyn's parents, Macy Smith and Michael Harper, were both born at Firelands Health 25 years ago. Their mothers, Melissa and Katie, met while pregnant. This initial friendship blossomed into a lifelong bond between the mothers and their children. Approximately 20 years later, a mutual friend reconnected Macy and Michael, rekindling their friendship. This led to their engagement and the joyful birth of baby Landyn.
