Ben Fries was selected as the Firelands Health Beacon of Light for the fourth quarter 2025. He is a practice operations manager with Firelands Physician Group who has worked at Firelands since 2021.

The Firelands Beacon of Light is a program developed to recognize team members who exhibit the values of Firelands Health through exceptional attitude, commitment and enthusiasm (ACE). The award goes to individuals who ACE it every day for patients and
co-workers.

Ben’s nomination exemplifies this dedication. “Ben truly cares about his co-workers and employees. He is a great manager and an asset to this organization,” the nomination read. “Ben works closely with all of his offices to keep things upbeat and productive. He makes sure employees are heard and quickly addresses any issues that arise. He is always there for anything anyone needs.”

Outside of work, Ben is an avid outdoorsman. When the weather is nice, you can find him fishing in Lake Erie, boating, hiking or camping. Ben also enjoys spending time with his parents, four siblings and two dogs.
