Community Outreach Health Screenings

Below are some of the health screenings offered through Firelands Health Community Outreach. For a list of currently available screenings, click here

*Free Breast Health Screening

This special screening event is for the uninsured and underinsured, including those with high deductibles. *Any eligible insurance will be billed; however, patients will not be billed for any remaining balance. The screening includes a clinical breast exam, education on prevention and early detection, and a screening mammogram if indicated by a physician.

This screening is offered twice a year in the spring and fall. To find currently available screenings click here

Lab Screenings

Offered one Saturday a month from 7-9:30 a.m.

Screenings include:

  • Complete Blood Count with Metabolic and lipid Panel (No Eating or Drinking for 12 Hours – Water Allowed – includes liver and kidney function studies, fasting blood sugar, cholesterol, HDL/LDL and triglyceride levels along with a complete blood count.) - $45
  • Hemoglobin A1C (A three-month report card on how well your blood sugars have been running. A test used to diagnose diabetes and/or to evaluate how well your treatment plan is working.) - $25
  • PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen)- $30
  • Vitamin D - $35
  • TSH - $25

We do not accept insurance for lab screenings. You can pay with cash, check, or credit/debit card.

Skin Cancer Screening

Our free skin cancer screening is open to anyone needing a spot or full body check for any suspicious moles or areas of concern.

This screening is offered once a year every spring. Stay tuned for our next screening date.

Vascular Screenings

  • Stroke/carotid artery screening-$60 | An ultrasound scan that screens for fatty plaque, the leading cause of strokes.
  • Peripheral arterial disease screening-$60 | Screens for peripheral arterial disease in the lower extremities.
  • Abdominal aortic aneurysm screening-$60 | An ultrasound scan that screens for the existence of enlargements in the aorta that can lead to a ruptured aortic artery. Must fast for 8 hours- no food or water.

Packages

  • $115 for two vascular tests
  • $170 for three vascular tests
