This course prepares youth ages 11-15 to safely and confidently care for children and infants. It includes hands-on activities, videos, and discussions to develop essential, real-life readiness babysitting skills. This course covers feeding, diapering, picking up and holding children, safety and injury prevention, and pediatric CPR and first aid training. Upon successful completion, participants will earn a two-year certification.

NOTES TO PARENTS:
- ALL attendees MUST be registered two days prior to the Babysitting class date. Day-of registrations will not be accepted.
- A morning snack and beverage will be provided, and a PACKED LUNCH will need to be sent with the student.
- At the end of each class, please make arrangements to have your child picked up directly from the classroom no later than 4:15 p.m. The children will not be permitted to wait by themselves for pick-up.
- This course is intended for youth ages 11 to 15. Children under age 11 may participate in the course but will receive a participation-only certificate rather than the official American Red Cross certification card.
The class will take place at Firelands Regional Medical South Campus, in the Education department, on the first floor. Enter through the front lobby, take the ramp up from the ground floor to the first floor, then turn left. Follow the corridor until you reach the Education Department.
