Growing up, Dr. DeWilde's personal experiences with healthcare sparked her passion for medicine. She experienced different health conditions that required hospital stays and lengthy workups; this inspired her to pursue a career helping others navigate the challenges of the healthcare system.
Outside of work, Dr. DeWilde enjoys hiking, birdwatching, sewing and gardening. She has also been showing miniature horses for over 20 years.
