Derrick Grohe, APRN-AGACNP-BC

As a child, Derrick Grohe witnessed numerous family members experience medical hardships. This exposure to the medical field led him to wholeheartedly want to make a career out of helping individuals navigate their medical hardships.

Derrick began his nursing career at Firelands in 2016, where he started in the ICU and remained until 2021 when he pursued his adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner degree. Following this, his first role as an NP was in the ICU at St. John Medical Center.

Driven to serve his local community, he ultimately applied for his current position at Firelands Health. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys spending quality time with family, engaging in outdoor activities with his children, staying physically active, and playing golf.
