Dr. MacLean was born and raised in Ohio. She decided to pursue medicine when she was given a second chance at life after developing a severe heart condition in high school. After undergoing a successful surgery as a high school senior, she decided to do what her surgeon did for her. She made it her goal to be a compassionate doctor for others as they navigate their health journeys, big and small. Dr. MacLean believes in a collaborative approach to patient care, empowering patients to make informed decisions about their health.
Dr. MacLean’s residency provided her with robust training in forefoot and rearfoot conditions, sports medicine, diabetic limb salvage and wound care, as well as extensive training in forefoot and rearfoot surgery, including foot and ankle trauma, forefoot and rearfoot reconstruction, pediatric conditions, as well as Charcot reconstruction. During her time in residency, she was an accepted presenter at the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS) for research regarding pediatric subtalar joint arthrodesis as primary coalition management, malignant transformation of chronic wounds, diabetic limb salvage, bone and joint infection management, as well as minimally invasive Achilles tendon surgery.
In her free time, she enjoys golfing, spending time with her family, friends and her bulldog, Louie.
