Tondra Mapus, FNP-C, BC-ADM began her medical career as an LPN in 1990, advancing to an RN in 1999, and ultimately becoming an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in 2015. During her graduate studies, Tondra discovered her passion for diabetes care, sparked by hands-on experience and mentorship from a fellow APRN diabetes specialist.
With extensive expertise in advanced diabetes management, she has been a key provider at the Firelands Center for Coordinate Care’s Diabetes Care Center since 2016. Tondra is a recognized leader in utilizing cutting-edge diabetes technologies, including continuous glucose monitoring systems and insulin pumps. Her collaborative approach with multidisciplinary teams ensures comprehensive, patient-centered care.
Outside of her professional commitments, Tondra enjoys camping and quality time with her family, bringing balance to her role as a dedicated and innovative healthcare provider focused on improving diabetes outcomes.
