As a fully-verified Level 3 trauma center, the emergency medicine physicians at Firelands Regional Medical Center provide prompt assessment, resuscitation, emergency operations and stabilization of the trauma patient.

Firelands Regional Medical Center’s 30-bed Emergency Services department is open 24/7 and is the most frequently selected provider of emergency services in the region. Features include:

• Team of physicians board-certified in emergency medicine

• Staff certified in trauma and advanced cardiac life support (adult and pediatric)

What can you expect when you arrive?

The Firelands Regional Medical Center Emergency Services department is staffed to handle both major and minor emergencies at all times.

Triage allows the emergency department staff to prioritize patients with critical or life-threatening emergencies. The order in which patients are seen is based on the severity of their condition, which may cause delay for patients with an earlier arrival.

Parents and guardians

The Consent for Emergency Treatment form provides your consent to the treatment and/or hospitalization of your child by an emergency medicine physician on staff at Firelands Regional Medical Center in case of any accident or illness that may arise in your absence or unavailability. Please print the form, complete and sign. Return completed form(s) to Firelands Regional Medical Center.
