The Firelands Outpatient Infusion Center combines the most advanced infusion medications with advanced techniques. The Infusion Center team of nurses, pharmacists and support staff have the experience you can rely on to administer medications and therapies safely and comfortably.
Firelands Outpatient Infusion Center accepts referrals from any licensed provider. The infusion center has staff on-site to evaluate insurance coverage and initiate prior authorizations as needed.
The following types of medications and services provided may include:
- IV Antibiotics/antifungals/antivirals
- Chemotherapy for non-cancerous diagnoses
- Blood product transfusions
- Therapeutic phlebotomies
- IV hydration
- Beneath the skin and intramuscular injections
- Wound care
- Wound vac application
- Port draws and line flushes
- Biologic therapies
Infusion therapy may be used to treat conditions and diseases such as:
- Gastrointestinal diseases such as Crohn’s and ulcerative Colitis
- Neurologic diseases such as multiple sclerosis, myasthenia gravis, Guillain-Barré and migraines
- Rheumatologic diseases such as psoriatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and ankylosing spondylitis
- Infections requiring daily antibiotics
- Dermatologic conditions
- Respiratory conditions
- Immune deficiencies
The infusion center referral base includes hospitals, area and out-of-town physician offices, home health agencies, and wound care centers.
