Adult and Teen Therapy Groups

Are you looking for a safe space to share and heal? Firelands Counseling & Recovery Services offers support and connection through group therapy.

Group availability varies based on location and current needs. Groups that may be available near you are:

TEEN Group

For ages 14-17, TEEN Group is a program for youth who are experiencing anxiety, depression or other emotional concerns that may be interfering with their ability to function at home, school or in another setting.

Family Matters

Find support and understanding in this mental health group program tailored for parents who are facing the challenges of parenting while managing symptoms of a mental health or dual diagnosis disorder. This group is also appropriate for parents who are experiencing difficulty adjusting to the needs of their children who have a mental health disorder.

Anger Management

Learn how events, thoughts and reactions affect anger. Develop skills for anger management.

Creative Interventions in Counseling

Highlights the use of art, music, journaling and narrative therapeutic interventions.

Seeking Safety

Are you struggling with trauma or substance abuse? Seeking Safety is a supportive program designed to help you move from unhealthy coping mechanisms to healthy ones. 

Adult Coping Skills

Explore creative ways to cope with anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem, etc.

Teen Calm and Coping

For ages 13-17. Want a fresh start? Join us to learn fun coping skills for stress, anxiety or depression. Best for teens wanting to learn more about coping and mindfulness.

DBT Skills Training Group

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is a comprehensive, evidenced-based psychotherapy approach that focuses on helping individuals to better manage intense emotional reactions.

Adult Day Treatment

Intensive, goal-oriented group treatment services that offers structure and support to individuals at risk for hospitalization, recently discharged from the hospital or who have significant impairments with the functions of daily living.

Seven Challenges

The Seven Challenges is a comprehensive counseling program that incorporates work on alcohol and other drug problems. It is designed to motivate clients, whether they are in the adult or adolescent version, to evaluate their lives, consider changes they may wish to make, and then succeed in implementing the desired changes. It supports them in taking power over their own lives. Seven Challenges uses an approach called “Mastery Counseling,” which helps people look at what is happening in their lives. They learn to recognize what is going well and what is problematic.
